Exciting News to Share!

Some of you may know that earlier this year I was honored with one of my nature images being chosen as the Custer State Park Guide book

and then that image was discovered and requested to be a cover for a international Travel magazine "Spirit of the West" who was featuring the Black Hills and contacted me for
the cover of that issue!   So exciting!

NOW FOR TODAYS EXCITING NEWS!

I am being published Again!  This time in the South Dakota magazine!
The Editor contacted me for images for an article on The Black Hills Photo Shoot Out, I was also contacted for a interview as one of last years attendee's.  Of course my buffalo is one of them as it made the cover of the guide book and was taken during this great event!

I also have another image and am told its being published 12" wide!  WOW!!!  That's huge for a publication and I am so honored and humbled by this news as well. I am so excited to see this issue!  It comes out mid August so if you see it on the stands check out the article and let me know you seen it! :-)

Now I want to tell you a bit more about the Shoot Out Event, as I think its totally  the Bomb!

BHPSO is held annually here in the Black Hills of South Dakota usually around the last weekend in September. It is very affordable and open to all skill levels.. only requirement, you have to want to see the hills, meet and make new friends and like to capture some great images with at least a cell phone camera.
That's right, you don't need to be a pro photographer or have awesome expensive camera's. I've seen plenty of point n shoot cameras last year and expect to see them again this year too!

For a small fee usually $150.00 covers all three days of events, lectures and fun!
During the event you will meet pro photographers who are your instructors for the classes you choose to take
and they are there to answer all your questions from how to take better pictures to where and what you should see in the area!  People come from all over the country to this event so you will make lots of new friends from all over :-)

Last year the event spanned the whole B.H. Area, this year we are concentrating in one area, the northern hills and expect that the BHPSO in 2012 will focus on the souther hills area.
